NO MORE CANDY WRAPPERS UNDER THE BED!
How to Stop Your Kids' Sneaking and
Create Healthy Lifelong Relationships with Food
YES. I need help now
Live workshop with Dr. Wendy starts 3/30
YOU’VE FOUND THEM.
AGAIN.
Candy wrappers under the bed, in the cushions of the couch, shoved into backpack pockets.
And suddenly you're on high alert:
Is this the start of something bigger?
Why are they hiding it?
Why can’t they just ask?
Am I restricting too much?
Should I just let them eat more?
Where did I go wrong?
Is this the start of an addiction?
After all, you've already tried: limiting candy, not bringing it home, monitoring it, explaining balance, loosening up, tightening down.
And nothing actually changed.
If anything, the sneaking got... sneakier.
Your kids, they are smart. Very smart about candy (sneaking, negotiating and becoming candy-seeking pros). It is maddening.
And you are exhausted from thinking about it.
Planning around it. Anticipating it. Argh - and reacting to it.
Here's the part that no one says out loud:
You're scared
About diabetes, weight, addiction.
About "what if this turns into something bigger."
And about accidentally seeding disordered eating.
You simply want to stop feeling like the candy police and feel like a parent again
You want to know that your kids are developing a healthy relationship with food.
You want candy to be… well, no big deal. It can be there and not be the most exciting thing in your house.
You want to stop wondering if you’re making it worse.
That’s what this workshop is for.
"But my kid is obsessed. They love food."
Parents just like you share this exact concern with me every day.
Here's what you need to know: Nothing has gone wrong.
Kids can get, well, intense about things. No, not cleaning up laundry, and definitely not about school work. They get especially intense when something feels really, really good (hello, candy and electronics!)
When candy becomes the focal point in your house, it’s usually not about how much they love food. It’s about the charge that has built up around it: the excitement, the restriction, the anticipation, and the reaction.
The bigger the focus, the louder the reaction.
And here's the best news: we can shift the pattern of focus and behavior, all while strengthening the relationship.
Parents need help now more than ever - and this is exactly why I'm hosting a workshop for parents to create help without harm
Introducing
NO MORE CANDY WRAPPERS UNDER THE BED
How to Stop the Sneaking & Create Healthy Relationships with Food
A 3-Part Parent Workshop, starts 3/30 at noon ET.
This is not a sugar detox. This is not nutrition school. This is not about eliminating treats.
This is about stopping the sneaking so you don't have to worry about addiction or long-term metabolic struggles.
In three live sessions, you will:
• Understand exactly why the sneaking is happening
• Know precisely what to say and what NOT to say when you find wrappers
• Lower obsession so that candy becomes NBD (no big dealio)
• End the sneaking without becoming Momzilla or instituting a family-wide candy embargo
• Make necessary changes without damaging the most important thing: your relationship with your child
What Parents Say
“I didn’t realize how much fear I was carrying about diabetes and weight. This helped me respond instead of panic.”
Here's How the Workshop Series Works:
No More Candy Wrappers is a 3-part workshop for parents. Each session will happen LIVE on Zoom with real coaching and real conversation (replay included with purchase with 1 year of portal access).
Save up to 90 minutes for each session to not miss a beat.
Parents share that the magic of this 3-day Family in Focus workshop structure is having bite-size training, spread out over multiple days, with clear guidance to start experimenting and then return to troubleshoot and build on.
If you can't stay the whole time, or can't attend 'cause... middle of the day ~ life ~ kids... it's ok - you will have access to the replays for a whole year: plenty of time to watch, experiment and build on.
SESSION 1: Mon, March 30, 12pm ET
What to Do When You Find the Wrappers
- Discover the real meaning behind the sneaking
- Turn off the “caution-caution-something is wrong” parent alarm system
- Learn exactly what to say (and for the love of all the good chocolate, not say) in the moment
- Learn how to de-escalate the dynamic before the fuse is lit
This first session is about helping you understand what is really going on so you feel instant relief.
SESSION 2: Fri, April 3, 12pm ET
How to Decrease Candy's Mystical Power Over Your Child
- Learn why the usual restriction and balance recommendations can increase obsession in normal kids
- Why “just have one” doesn’t work
- Get a clear map of the sugar dynamic and obstacles to healthy relationships - this is the thing you don't want to miss to help you sleep better
- Use the Family in Focus Pattern Shift Method to stop the candy sneaking so you can focus on building stronger relationships with food and each other
Our goal with this session is to completely remake your understanding of your family's relationship with food and each other so that you will be able to practice a very specific strategic challenge that will shift your family's relationships over the weekend.
SESSION 3: Mon, April 6, 12pm ET
How to Use the Pattern Shift Method to End the Sneaking for Good
- Create your 30-day plan, tailored for your unique needs, family members and all the quirks ('cause we've all got our special sauce)
- Easily follow the plan like a ninja (so your child doesn't have a clue what has changed)
- Learn how to start repair conversations that rebuild trust when life throws a candy curveball
- Build stronger relationships with food and family that span
You will leave with a plan so you know exactly what to do when candy wrappers try to sneak into your home - and already feel a stronger connection with your children.

What Parents Say
“I came in worried about the long-term effects of excessive sugar in my kids, and feeling so guilty around candy. I left with a plan to stay calm, which helped them stop being little rapid raccoons around the candy bowl."
ABOUT DR. WENDY
I’m a dual-board-certified pediatrician and lifestyle physician.
I’ve spent over 20 years in exam rooms with families struggling with weight conversations, food fights, and well-intended advice that simply created more harm than good at home.
Family in Focus® was built to change that.
This is help without harm.
We focus on relationships — with food, body, and each other — so that habits can shift without shame, pressure or restriction.

FAQ
Do I need to attend all 3 sessions?
This series was intentionally created to provide parents bite-size trainings along with specific practice to do at home. You then come back just a few days later and 1) celebrate what is working and 2) troubleshoot where you've found obstacles. Every single step is in the right direction.
I will always encourage live because it's kinda like giving you a virtual Zoom hug. We get to learn and grow together with community and troubleshooting your family's unique needs. And let's be honest, sometimes life and schedules don't work that way. Each session will be recorded and replays available in a private portal for 1 year.
Can I get a refund?
No refunds.
What age is this for?
For parents of all ages, for children through late adolescence.
What’s the difference between this and your signature program?
This workshop is focused specifically on sugar battles and sneaking. It's meant to give you quick wins in a very specific relationship with food and family.
If you want full family transformation across relationships with food, body and the entire family, that’s what Family in Focus® is for.
Finally break the cycle once and for all.
I’m Dr Wendy Schofer, MD. Pediatrician. Trauma-informed. Relationship-focused. Eating disorder prevention specialist.
And I don’t wait til we have to fix kids.
I help parents. Now.
I help you move forward without all the stress, anxiety and worry about repeating cycles of shame and control with food and body.
You've learned how controlling food or forcing "good habits" didn't heal the problem. In fact, it often makes it worse: shame, guilt, sneaking, fear, isolation and food fights.
And the cycle keeps repeating: the cycle of shame that we grew up with.
I help parents heal their own relationship with food and body so they can raise kids who never have to recover from their childhood.
Because parents create the environment where change grows: healing, safe relationships with food, emotions, body, family.
YES! I want help now.
